Since 2019 the staff at Lunar Resources Registry have been applying terrestrial mining approaches to space mining, more succinctly, how location prospective resources on the surface of the Moon. The previous section on Lunar Mining included using 3rd party academic research. This section focussed on LRR’s in-house approach.

Development Zones and Commercial Resources Registrations

We start by creating Development Zones based on areas where resources are detected in high concentrations. These zones can be 10s or 100s of kilometres wide, and include various resources classifications.

Each Development Zone is documented showing the location and geological research.

A Resources Registration is a designated area in a Development Zone, and include analytics such as resources concentration, project economic value, and terrain analysis.

Seen below is a Development Zone, and 4 Resources Registrations within that Development Zone.
